This policy explains what information this website collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
Scope
This site is operated by Sanford DeRose Trial Lawyers, LLP, which does business as Bulldog Business (“we,” “us”). This policy covers information collected through this site, including the consultation form.
It doesn’t cover information we receive while representing a client. That information is governed by the client’s engagement agreement and by our duty of confidentiality under the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct, which control wherever they differ from this policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us. The consultation form asks for your name, work email, company and the kind of help you need. We collect only what you choose to send.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the page that referred you and the time of each request.
Information from other sources. To check for conflicts of interest, we may look up the people and companies involved in a matter in our own records and in public sources.
How we use it
- To review your request and contact you about a possible consultation.
- To check for conflicts of interest before we discuss your matter.
- To operate the site, keep it secure and fix problems.
- To comply with the law and our professional obligations.
We’ll ask for your consent before using your information for any other purpose.
How we share it
We share personal information only:
- With service providers that host the site or handle email for us, who may use it only to provide those services and must keep it confidential.
- When the law, a court order or the rules of professional conduct require it.
- When needed to protect our rights, our clients or the safety of others.
- With a successor firm if the firm merges or reorganizes, subject to this policy.
- With your consent.
We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn’t use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics, and we don’t track visitors across other websites. Because of that, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals don’t change how the site works.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. Records of the people and companies who contact us, and of the matters they raise, may be kept longer, because we must check future matters against them for conflicts.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we collect. Information sent over the internet isn’t completely secure, so we can’t guarantee the security of information sent to us. If a breach affects your information, we’ll notify you as the law requires.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights, and we’ll honor them as that law requires. We won’t treat you differently for making a request.
To make a request, write to us at the address below. We may need to confirm your identity first. We may keep information that the law or our professional obligations require us to retain, including the records we need for conflict checks.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and isn’t directed to anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect their information, and we’ll delete it if we learn we have.
Visitors outside the United States
The firm is based in the United States, and information collected through this site is processed and stored here.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
